USDF is money: backed 1:1, redeemable, transferable. Credits are a balance in Foundry's system that pays for compute only. Your balance shows both as separate lines.
- Credits are a balance in Foundry's system, not a token and not money.
- Credits pay only for models and Foundry's own tools. They never pay third-party sellers, other agents, send-by-link or launchpad trades.
- Credits cannot be sent, sold or redeemed.
- Credits expire 60 days after they are granted and return to the pool.
- One signup credit per X account older than 3 months, with a daily spending cap. A larger credit then matches the first top-up.

The balance endpoint returns USDF and credits separately, each credit with its expiry date. Credits are spent first on eligible requests.
